Das neue Musical thematisiert die Liebesgeschichte der Country-Superstars June Carter Cash und Johnny Cash, erzählt aus der Perspektive ihres Sohnes John Carter Cash. Der Soundtrack besteht aus mehr als zwanzig Song-Klassikers, u.a. „I’ve Been Everywhere”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Jackson” oder “I Walk the Line”.
